efinitely different in San Antonio's mass

business and leisure traveler who finds unique
accommodations charming. There's a place in
San Antonio for a place like this," says
Greer, who readily professes a fondness for
antiques, history, architecture and old buildings.
"Everything here has its own history,
and we're just building on that."
Greer, herself, has a history marked by the
need to support three children, for whom she
became solely responsible when they were 1,
2 and 3. Experienced in buying and renovating
real estate, she moved to San Antonio in 1988
and bought a property to convert to a bed
and breakfast. "I chose that business
because I thought it would give me more time

Theresa spends most of her days at the inn,
supervising her 15 employees and visiting
with guests. She fields comments and suggestions
from all directions, always striving to make
the Havana a luxurious destination. After
purchasing the hotel in 1992, Greer spent
the last six years bringing her dreams to
reality. The inn opened in the spring of 1997.
